What is Remote Control: GLITCH MIAMI?

Remote Control: Glitch Miami - Artists from the Global Glitch Art Community will apply for the chance to exhibit their work on the giant 65ft wide x 16ft tall LED wall at SCOPE Art Fair 2024! 30 Winners, Top 10 Most Minted/Voted & 20 chosen by Curators.

Artists may submit 2 pieces of artwork at no charge, minting costs are covered by us! Artwork submissions after the first 2 pieces will cost 5 dollars.

Collectors vote by purchasing editions of their artwork for $5 per mint.

The more mints/votes a creator has, the better their chances of being one of the top 10 winners!


When is Remote Control: GLITCH MIAMI?

Remote Control Glitch Miami is LIVE for art submissions and voting from November 20th - November 27th 2024 at 11:59PM PST.

Ability to submit artwork stays open for the duration of the contest!

Collectors can vote for their favorite artists & artwork and by purchasing editions of artwork from November 20th - November 27th 2024 at 11:59PM PST.

Top 10 artists will be confirmed as winners.

The 20 winning creators selected by our curation partners will be announced on X shortly after contest voting closes.


What are the prizes?

The top 10 winners by vote count and 20 selected by our curators will have their art exhibited on the giant 65ft wide x 16ft tall LED wall at SCOPE Art Fair 2024!


How can I submit my artwork to the contest?

Visit RemoteControl.Fun and visit open calls and navigate to GLITCH MIAMI.

Connect your wallet and X account and follow the submission requirements.


Are votes added up across all artwork submissions from a creator?

Yes, all votes are added up across all the artist’s submissions and counted toward their leaderboard standing in the contest. We consider votes per artist as a whole.


Can I submit more than one piece of artwork to the contest?

YES! Artists can submit one or more pieces of artwork to the contest, at any point between the start of submissions on November 20th - November 27th 2024 at 11:59PM PST.

Votes are added up across all the artist’s submissions and counted toward their leaderboard standing in the contest.

The first 2 submissions are free, there is a $5 charge for each submission after the first 2.

The more artwork artists submit for collectors to mint, the more votes they can earn!


How can I track my standing during the contest?

You can monitor your position on the leaderboard, updated in real-time, showing total votes across all your submissions.


What kind of artwork can I submit?

Only submit unminted artwork, the artwork will be minted to the BASE network.

All art styles and digital formats are welcome. From images to videos to 3D objects and beyond. Up to 100 MB file size limit. All dimensions are accepted and the work will be paneled to fit across the dimensions of the screen.


Can I submit artwork containing nudity or explicit themes?

Yes. We do not censor any artwork on the site.


How are the winning artists selected?

Finish in the top 10 by votes.
Be selected as the curators pick. (20)

As long as you have at least one submission and one vote, you have a chance to win!


How can collectors vote for their favorite artwork and artists?

Each submission to the contest becomes a Limited Timed Open Edition on Base network, available until the end of the contest on November 27th.

The editions can be purchased for a $5 USD fee.

Every mint counts as one vote towards the creator of the artwork.


I don’t have a Web3 Wallet. Can I still collect artwork and vote for artists?

Yes!

At the top right nav on the Remote Controls site, use the Connect button to get started.

If you don’t have a Web3 Wallet, you can enter your email address and a wallet will be created for you.

Once connected, you can use that wallet to purchase open editions to vote for your favorite creator.


What payment methods are accepted?

Credit Card, Ethereum and Solana are accepted.


How are the purchase fees distributed?

For each artwork collected, there is a $5 fee.
Creator Revenue: $2.50 Superchief Split: $1.25 Props Split: $1.25

If an artist is onboarded by a curator, the curator gets 10% of the 5 dollar sale fee of each edition and the price breakdown is as follows:

When will the winning artwork be displayed?

Winning artwork is guaranteed to be exhibited at least 2 times during Miami Art Week. The schedule will be shared on socials December 1st. We will of course get professional footage for those who cannot visit in person! These will be put in a dropbox and shared with artists, as well as clipped and shared on socials with artists tagged.


Will Remote Control feature iconic locations in other cities in the future?

There are too many amazing artists and too many high profile locations we can use to highlight their artwork. We will not stop at just one billboard or venue. Tweet @myRCNFT and let us know which iconic worldwide billboard we should feature next!
